First of I'd like to announce our affiliation with

Take a look at their gallery, they have some really great photography there.
Hopefully as this group gets bigger we'll affiliate with more groups and get some more interaction going with them.
I noticed today that the settings did not allow you guys to submit to the "Digital Art" and "Nude" gallery folders.
That has been fixed.
Please let me know if you are experiencing any more problems with submissions, or anything else.
Also, I made some changes to the rules. Members are now NOT allowed to submit to the "Featured" folder.... sorry.
I decided that it would be much simpler if everybody submits to one of the other categories and the admins will choose which works should be also added to the "featured" folder.

Unfortunately we won't be having the contest, because not enough people showed interest :( . We'll try again eventually when we have more group members and hopefully more people will be interested.

Hi everybody,
First of all, I would like to apologize that this group has been so inactive the last couple of months. I was (and still am) really busy; this is my final year of university so the amount of work is insane. But I promise, as soon as I find some time I will come up with some new things to make this group more fun. It might be a contest, might be something else, but I will definitely come up with something.
Part of the reason (besides being busy) why I haven't done anything yet is that our group was fairly small. But it has been growing and we already have 86 members and 89 watchers. I would really appreciate if you can all help

Hi all!
I am Asya, the founder of DA-Deserts. David, who is so kind to help me with this group has already introduced himself and his connection to deserts, and I'd like to do the same.
I spent most of my childhood living next door to the Negev Desert in Israel, and fell in love with it ever since. Even after I moved to Canada I have been obsessed with deserts. When I was in high-school my first oil painting was of a horse running through the desert with sand dunes in the background. Later, I worked on a set of surreal paintings... they were ALL set in a desert landscape. That same year, I visited the Grand Canyon. It was a nostalgic moment
